Diagnostic/Programming laptop

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I've recently configured ISTA and ESYS on my main laptop to check it all works, but don't want to be dragging an expensive workstation out to the car all the time.

What's the minimum spec for a dedicated diagnostic laptop ?

It appears Win7 is the oldest you can go with operating system, but are there any memory and processor requirements for trouble free operation ?

I'm happy to buy used, but don't want to get something unsuitable.

Thanks.
Ian.
