F32 headlight modification?

Anyone done any modifications to there oem headlights? On my old e92 I removed the lens and added halo rings and blacked out all the chrome. I like my headlight angel eyes but think it'd look good dechromed. Anyone know if it's e same process of heating the glue and pulling lens off?

Not other than just swapping the HID's for something a little cooler. I guess I just don't want to mess with the original sealing of the head lamps lol

Yeah I see your point, I keep trying to talk myself out of it save the hassle but I seen a photo of some blacked out and they look so good, managed to seal my e92 headlights back up fine it's just getting them apart

As far as I've seen videos of it, yes it's just a matter of heating the housing to remove the lens and resealing it properly.

You could always send your head lights to OSS Designs or Bayoptiks to have it professionally done.

Eventually I'm going to have OSS Designs customize my head lights as I need a new lens on both and might as well get some carbon fiber and a sequential blinker/eyebrow installed while we're at it. Personally I'm not brave enough to mess with a $1500 item if not done right lol.

Yeah I see your point especially your headlights they're crazy price😂 mine are just the bi xenon and I prefer doing them myself as it gives me a little project, was thinking of buying a used headlight and trying it on that so if it doesn't work out At least I'm not missing a headlight haha

I’m modifying my icons, I have a blueghozt module to make the rings and eyebrow addressable. The major draw back so far has been sourcing new lenses.. there’s one guy in Europe who gets the best quality ones but he’s been out of stock for months, the eBay ones however are awful quality.

If you can post some pics/videos when you're done. Would love to see the final product.

Weirdly this popped up when I was going through my profile ha, not sure if you saw the updates but this was my final product:

I ended up sourcing LCI lenses. The main difference is the cutline that goes down the outer portion of the face. Took my time on them due to complications and other projects.
