Flash tune that is identical to MPPSK?

Hi,

Is there a flash tune that offers the exact same tune as the OEM MPPSK flash?

I understand that most flash tunes are “superior” with more power. That’s not what I’m asking. I just want the same power and ECU management as MPPSK.

Thanks

Bootmod3 includes 1 OTS map and the OEM MPPSK tune when you buy their license. So you can switch between stock, MPPSK, or a stage1/2 of your choice. If you don't want the OTS map then you don't have to use it, but it's also included for free if you get bored in the future.

Out of curiosity, may I ask what your plan is and what triggers the question? (Which I fully understand and am not debating)

Bootmod3... That being said, skip the MPPK and go to stage 1.
Its a lot more fun and very reliable

Yeah, bootmod 3 (BM3) offers an MPPSK map that is included for free in your license.

I drive a manual and I understand the tranny is not rated for much more power. Also, I want to drive this car for 10 years or so, and more power is more heat, and that means shorter engine life.

Fully understand! As I said it was not a judgemental question, just the opposite
Thanks for responding.

Yup, pick your tune of choice, forget about MPPSK as the following are superior:
1. MP
2. MHD
3. AA
4. BM3

Have you at all read the OP's question?
Nothing can be assumed to have higher reliability than an OEM software!
MPPSK is therefore the "superior" one, having highest power rating and still being OEM.

But unless you are purchasing MPPSK from BMW I would assume that any tuning software (even if it's the equivalent to MPPSK) will void any powertrain warranty. That's my assumption anyway.

You are correct!
But warranty and reliability are 2 different things. It can be assumed that any OEM software (even if MPPSK) has the highest safety margins, hence highest reliability irrespective of any warranty.
It is that safety margin that all other aftermarket tunes consume to give extra power.

I am quite newbie about this. So with some tunes we can get same results as we would bought original MPPSK package?

Don't forget that the "result" from MPPSK includes a whole other (less restrictive) exhaust system. So no tune in isolation will give you that. It may give you just the software tune included in the MPPSK. The exhaust however is still absolutely worth it.
Generally the MPPSK is an extremely successful product. No one can argue with that, even though you can and will get more power/torque with aftermarket tunes.

yes, if you would measure on the dyno stock exhaust vs this called mppsk you would see that it gives zero gains. It has different sound that's it. its similar to N55 mppk airbox, which gives nothing in terms of power.

That's not true really. If you expect high gains just from exhaust - of course you'd be disappointed, but the exhaust resistance is reduced by what becomes practically a straight pipe aft of the cat, with larger diameter than the stock.

If you are questioning the advantages of less „back-pressure" aft of a turbo compressor, than that becomes a completely different discussion which will require a good theoretical understanding to start with.
