New wheels installed today

Had black wheels before on my car and I think silver wheels look much cleaner on an estoril blue. Thoughts?

Well *personally* I am partial to black wheels... matte black and a simple spoke design.
Mattte black as it actually SHOWS the shape/lines of the wheels. Gloss is a horrible black wheel choice - the glare-y finish hides the wheel design.

But that's the Creative Director side of me.
The news wheels on your car are VERY NICE sir!

I like the wheels, I don't much care for the center caps if I'm being honest

Yea, I had black wheels before but they look great when they’re clean lol. Not a big fan when they’re dirty with all the brake dust.

I bought the red center caps from the wheel manufacturer. Will make it look better!

I agree with you. Silver wheels really pop on a car, especially when the trim is blacked out. Clean and coat the new wheels with a ceramic coating to keep them looking like new.

Sadly the OEM caps don’t fit. The wheel manufacture has red caps. I think that’ll look good. Or I buy the bmw wheel stickers.

Agreed!! I hate black wheels!! I do not understand their popularity!! It’s like having a black hole on each corner of your car. And it makes cars look like unmarked police cruisers.

IMO Gunmetal or Ferric Grey is my favourite with Estoril, but I'm another one in the "hates black wheels" camp for the most part.

Looks good! Agreed silver/light grey wheels look better on estoril blue. Not a fan of black wheels myself unless you have a black car and you're going for the murdered out look.

The blue absolutely suits the silver; wonder if you can get decent BMW wheel centre cap stickers to break up the all-silver centre caps at all?

I was in the camp of not keen on black wheels; absolutely hate gloss black (my F31 came with gloss black 403Ms and I got rid of them the weekend I collected the car and fitted 400Ms with winter tyres)

But bought an immaculate set of satin black 18" 405Ms off these forums (UK seller) and for me they work really well on my F31 with all the other black accents on the car too (M Sport lip kit, decals, trim etc)

I did think about ferric grey as well; but it'd have been another colour to add in and it wouldn't look right IMO

Ferric grey is a great colour IMO and it works with a lot of colours on cars; this was my previous Jap import E39 touring with 17" Style 66s in ferric grey
