Msport Xdrive spring rates question

I have a F32 xdrive with normal/nonsport springs. I'm installing Koni active shocks soon and would like to install slightly stiffer springs at the same time, so I'm considering a set of OEM msport springs. Can someone tell me if I would simply be swapping springs with the same rates or if this is what I'm looking for?

I think stock rates are 160lbs front and 486lbs rear, and I would like to find 10-20% stiffer springs. It seems very hard to find actual numbers especially for msport springs.

From what I can gather scouring the forum, msport springs are a somewhat higher rate than normal springs for non-xdrive F30/F32 cars. However, there seems to be very little info if the same is true for xdrive cars. Anyone know?

I could be wrong but I do believe the M sport suspension is not compatible with xDrive models

I don't think the stock rates are that high. Eibach springs are 29N/mm (165lbs/in) front and 86N/mm (491lbs/in) rear for your car and are noticeably stiffer. The difference between that and the numbers you think might be stock is within the error tolerances of lots of springs.

Here are the only rates I've used for comparison:

M3 E90 160lbs front, 550 lbs rear
M4 F82 185lbs front, 575 lbs rear
BMW Comp M4 198 lbs front, 685 lbs rear
Dinan F32/82 250 lbs front, 650 lbs rear
Swift F32/82 279 lbs front, 726 lbs rear

All that info came from various forums and could very well be totally wrong.

I do not want anything nearly as stiff as those aftermarket springs listed, and I use my car as a daily driver in the snow, so I cannot afford much of a drop. That seemingly left me with two choices to try; 1. M4 OEM springs, or 2. Msport F30/32 springs. I posted before asking if the M4 springs fit, but no one knew. All I'm trying to determine now is if the Msport xdrive springs are actually any higher of a rate or if the non-xdrive will fit,

However, if you have a suggestion for springs that will slightly (20%ish) stiffen without much of a drop I would greatly appreciate being steering in the right direction.

You could try coil spring boosters/rubbers. Those are valid ways to boost the spring rate (and maybe ride height if you want). I spoke to a suspension designer/guru to see if they were valid before considering them (I'm going to see how increasing my front spring rate a bit feels, and hopefully gain an extra 1/4"-1/2".

Any idea where I could find some of these or what size I'm looking for?

I didn't realize these existed before you mentioned it, but I'm going for it. I have a set of M4 springs and F32 koni special active shocks ready to go on, but I think the M4 springs will lower the car by about 1". I'd love to counteract about half of that with a riser/booster but can't seem to find any F30/F32 specific ones in anything but stock thickness.

You can find them at your local Autozone for $6 each. I actually just put a set on this past weekend to see if I could get a bit more ride height and see if I'd like a bit stiffer front spring (I have Eibach fronts right now). Thus far I'm pretty happy with them, and will be daily driving them to see how they hold up (I'm taking them out for the track this weekend though since I don't know what my alignment is like with the increased ride height).
