F32 440i BMW Diffuser Pics?
Hi all, does anybody have any real life experience of the 440i M Performance OEM diffuser?
Available pretty cheap from BMW these days and I figure it's the last thing to do on my black 440i to match the grilles, spoiler and splitter. has anyone fitted it themselves or taken it to BMW? Idea of costs for labour etc? Thanks! |

I went with a decent aftermarket one. It's probably the easiest part to fit out of the entire exterior M Performance kit. You'd be crazy paying the dealers to fit it.

Agreed. It's so easy to do. Probably 20 minutes if your being careful, 10 if you just pull after taking the screws out lol

I've got a OEM one for my F36. It's been ok and would get another when I replace the car.
Can't find the photos at the moment just search for my postings.

Hi, Definitely go OEM if you can justify the cost, so much easier to get a good fit. The Ebay ones that i have had on other cars were "just about" acceptable. Very easy and quick to do it yourself. OEM one below.

Personally, I found even the fit of the DM Auto one to be perfectly fine with no issues. I couldn't tell one apart from the other! |

Suggestions: 1) if you have chrome exhaust tips, having original diffuser off is perfect time to clean and use a metal polish for a layer of protection before installing new diffuser 2) also a good time for a layer of good plastic protectant on new diffuser. |

Would be interested to see real examples on quad exit versions if anyone has ventured down that road.
Won’t be changing my exhaust system but would likely get double exit tips per side. |
