I use the android version, fwiw. Can you read/code other modules? I'd back out and disconnect, maybe even restart the phone, then try again.

I had a case where it was writing the code and then I put the car in drive (don't ask)... And it corrupted the head unit module. After that, I couldn't write to it. After I power cycled everything and reconnected, the app offered to restore over the corrupted module. Thankfully that restore worked, and I was able to re-code in Park.

Android

So after panic ensued, I laid in bed and realized I could try my wifes phone. Installed Bimmercode on her Samsung S9. Went out. It reads the module. Great! Reported that to the developer. He said he needs to fix this issue but that I should uninstall and reinstall the app after copying my backups. So I did - all good now!

I bought veepeak BLE adapter but for some reason haven't been able to connect to bimmercode app on my iphone . I keep getting connection error. I reached out to the seller and he sent me another adapter but still cannot connect. Help please!

100% sure you selected Veepeak in Bilmercode settings and have bluetooth on and connected?

Yes, I did all that. Contacted bimmercode and had to send the error report. It shows that the app couldn't connect to the CAN bus, whatever that mean....

Bought the Vgate Wifi iCar2 on Amazon for iOS for $19.99
Downloaded Bimmercode App and paid the $26.99 unlock fee in the app.
Followed the Quick Start Guide in the App Settings menu.
Practiced in Demo mode.
Then connected for real and completed these code changes within a few minutes:
Turned off initial warning after startup
Changed startup graphic to "M"
Changed warning sounds to "i"
Auto unlock on ignition off
Changed idrive to display tire pressure AND temperature

No error codes stayed on and after I disconnected through the app and unplugged the Vgate I shut off the car completely, started the car and drove around the block to test a couple things. Success!!!!

Next I will be doing the brightness on Angel Eyes, ASD off, open/close mirrors on unlock/lock, and shut off radio/nav on open door.

You might have to search deep through Expertt mode. Coding for my F31 was much easier than coding now for my F25.

In Expert Mode ......I have to really hunt and search.

I used Bimmercode on my 2014 F30 335.

Got rid of side markers, however it wiped out my Active Sound. from the app i don’t even have Active Sound, i can barely hear any exhaust note now even with my MPE.

how can i code Active Sound back into the 2014 F30 335?

Love the app! (combined with Veepeak BLE adapter). Coded the following in part thanks to the very awesome coding contributions to Bimmerpost:
1. rear fog lamps with easy switch plate mod
2. outer tail lamps on with daytime driving
3. media off with driver's door opening
4. close windows/sunroof + fold mirrors with key fob lock hold
5. door handle LEDs on with reverse
6. rear cam zoom
7. side cam speed limit change

I'm still trying to get:
1. sports wagon tailgate close with fob or either switch
2. easy access driver's seat function
3. speech to text with Enhanced Bluetooth
4. weatherband channels (might be discontinued for head unit in 2019 models).

App developer is responsive and helpful. Worth every penny in terms of ease of use and turning on/off great features that are hidden in some models.

Wishlist for the developer:
1. Global Backup and Restore for when our ECUs are flashed at the service center
2. Park Distance Control adjustments to sensitive to distance (sometimes the PDC is too sensitive and I find plenty of extra room to park after it goes off.

My Veepeak tool came in so I bought the Bimmercode (iOS) app and coded the following:

Turned off seat belt reminders and alerts
Auto Start Stop to remember last setting
Open doors at ignition off
Stop window lifter when opening door
Fog lights disabled with high beam
Door handle LEDs while in reverse
Brake Force display to flashing
Shut off radio/nav when driver door open
Angel eyes to 100%
Volume at startup to 60%
Video in motion, codecs, usb
Tire pressure to display temperature and pressure
Legal disclaimers off

This thing is awesome!

That's it for now, I'll keep looking through the menus and try more stuff later.

I totally forget to turn off active sound. I'll do it in the morning.
I'll do the rear fog switch thing too. I did it in my E90 and loved it.
I'll search for the code to do fog lights without having headlights on too.

I got that done. I had to do a lot of digging around. Most info WRT the wagon tailgate are for the non LCIs.. I'll see if I can find it. If yours is LCI you need to look in HKFM2.

On a side note, why don't more car brands have coding options? I've been looking for Subaru options and all I can find are code readers and hardware defeats, but no coding.

from my experience, Ford, VW Audi and BMW can all be coded. VW/Audi's ross-tech VCDS long coding helper is a very similar UI as bimmercode. You pretty much click or uncheck boxes of the options you want to code.
