Delay in MPPSK valve opening with cold start

So there is a delay before the valve opens, I was certain when I first got the MPPSK this was not the case. I was told it was to get the cat up to temp faster. Is there a way to have it open and stay open, maybe with coding? Don't want to have to wait or rev it past 4K.

This has always been the case, it's for the reasons your described with the cats.

Ive read a few place that it can be permanently opened with either coding or jb4

I think you can just unplug the wiring to the valves when they are open and they will stay that way, or do the golf T mod. With the waste gate and exhaust valves open your cold start will be VERY loud.

I also found when parking that if I'm in comfort and then switch to sport while parked I have to tap the throttle to open the valve.

Sometimes I also have to blip the throttle to get the valves to open, maybe twenty percent of the time.

My MPPSK exhaust is very unpredictable. The thing that pisses me off the most is that both valves open up whenever i'm below 13mph. So even if i'm in comfort mode, its pretty damn loud and droney from 0-13mph.

I'm running a JB4 so I can open them manually prior to engine start via BC button. Trust me you really need the option of starting up with valves closed. I have underground parking under my building and the cold start is absolutely savagely loud with valves open. If I left somewhere at 1am... well good morning neighbourhood haha

My valve is always closed in comfort unless the engine revs past 4K.

I wasn't sure if the valve was open on cold start but that would still be an option as comfort is the default mode.

It's for noise. Not your cat.

They're usually closed as you described in your first post and then open up after about a minute or so if you have it in Sport or Sport+ on the MPPSK.

JB4 overrides this driving mode dependency so I can do cold starts valves open and it's absolutely brutal haha

Yeah I don't like driving mode dependency would like the ability to drive in sport + with valve closed for that sleeper capability power without noise/sound.
