Acceleration lag in comfort
So I've noticed this a bit over the 3 years I've had the car, however it seems to have got more noticable recently. Whilst in comfort from stationary, there appears to be a slight lag from putting my foot down to the engine picking up. Switch into sport mode and no such problem. Car is a 2016 335d F31 with 56k on the clock. Does the gearbox need a service/oil change or something else. Thoughts?

I think the general consensus when these sorts of things have been discussed in the past is that "that's how they all are, sir"...
I find the cars these days far easier to drive if you use more economical foot movements and let the turbo come in to push you along... There used to be common complaint from folk coasting up to roundabouts then kicking down to get into the roundabout and getting nothing of what they expected... it's like you would have been ,more likely to do in a normally aspirated car... I suspect they are mapped economically in both eco and comfort these days to encourage a more eco friendly driving style...
