Strut Extension?

I believe I've read about a solution for my suspension problem in the past, and cannot locate it now. Perhaps my imagination.

I have a F31 330 xDrive with KW DDC Plug & Play coilovers. The vehicle is dropped aggressively, which looks great. With good road conditions, the ride is nice. However, this setup compromises the ride quality when the road is suboptimal. It seems there's just not much travel available in the front corners.

I feel like I read about a strut mount extension, or something like that in the past. Something that allows the coilover to have more travel in its resting state, but still maintain the desired ride height. Does this exist? If so, is this a bad idea?

Any input is much appreciated.
