Bilstein B14 coilover adjustment. How do you adjust the rears?

I've had coilovers in the past but this one is a bit strange to me. Installed the B14's and wanted to raise the rear a bit but I'm lost. Typically, most coilovers have two locking rings, one to lock the sleeve in place and another to adjust the height.

However, with the B14, there's only ONE locking ring that the spanner wrench fits around. When I attempt to spin the ring (black ring in the pic), the entire collar sleeve (silver collar) spins with it which doesn't change anything.

What am I missing here? The kit came with two spanner wrench which I presume is for the front (that has two locking nuts) but what about the rears? How do you hold the sleeve in place since there's no notches anywhere except on the black lock ring.

Just spin it with the 1 wrench and no need to hold the sleeve, the rubber pad between it and the car will keep it from spinning. I have the exact same coilovers installed and love the handling and firm ride.

You need to drop the control arm any time you want to adjust it. The reason it spins is because of how much tension is between the spring and collar, especially hard if you're trying to raise the car and increasing the spring force. That's also why few if any coilovers come with a locking ring in the rear. It's not needed because the spring force keeps it in place once everything is together.

Measure the current gap between the collar and base, remove the 2 control arm bolts, adjust until it is the length you want, and reinstall.

If it's anything like E90 coilovers it can be a massive PITA unless you drop the control arm

do you need to drop the control arm if you are trying to further lower the rear?
