Port Injection does not add octane value.

And port-spraying pump gas on a high compression boosted motor is dangerous.

I was going to buy it over a month ago, but PTF didn't have time to dedicate to tuning it. In the meantime I'm going with an Aquamist methanol setup with the EOS intake manifold.

Per my conversations I had with both Jeff at SpeedTech and Dzenno at PTF, I would need a custom tune for this which Jeff did not offer and PTF did not have time for. I've been wanting this kit for over 3 months and was ready to pull the trigger. I however was not slapping a turbo on my car that was not able to be tuned. I've decided to go with a pretty involved meth setup right now instead. I'll buy the SpeedTech kit after winter when I can get it tuned.

EOS intake manifold with integrated injection? I'd be very interested in hearing about your impressions once you receive .

Yep! I'm currently on a business trip for the next several weeks, but may arrange a pickup for my car while I'm gone to have the install complete by the time I get home. Haven't decided yet...

I was under the impression that PTF was tuning the Speedtech car. Maybe I was misinformed. Also, from talking with PTF it's recommended that any upgraded turbo car be custom tuned. Are they just that far behind on custom tunes? What about Enzo?

PTF was working with Jeff tuning the car, yes. It would be foolish of them to not work together with another company trying to move the platform forward.

Of course you should have any car with an upgraded turbo or any serious performance mods custom tuned. It's asinine to think otherwise. Dzenno told me they wouldn't have time to do until custom tuning was was released for BM3.

Agreed but isn't custom tuning capability already released for BM3?

Maybe? I'm not sure. I had this conversation a over a month ago. My goal was to have had the kit purchased, installed and tuned before I left on another trip.

According to the BM3 facebook group, the answer is yes. Even though PTF has an OTS map for the PS2 turbo upgrade, for example, it was recommended that I get a custom tune through PTF or another tuner (Enzo possibly). Ideally, PTF would release an OTS map for the Speedtech kit that can be loaded after installation and then have a custom tune that is basically a tweaked version of the OTS map based on logs. I'm not sure if an OTS map has been created for the Speedtech setup so waiting on that.

Before I even knew that their awesome cast manifold was available for sale separately, they're sold out.

Does anyone know if they plan on another production run, or are those full kits currently on sale the last of that endeavor?

What's the point of buying turbofold separately when it only fits EFR unit from their kit?

I have an X3 and fabrication skills. Not all the parts in their kit are likely to work on the X3, I'd think. Plus, I can piecemeal $1000 in parts at a time without the wife getting too suspicious.

I would really like to see this kit mature. Is it dead in the water?

It should fit any turbo with the same exhaust housing as the EFR in their kit, which is most likely a T4 Twin Scroll housing if I had to guess.
