Car is 2016 340xdrive,I have Variable sport steering, adaptive M suspension and I believe I have EDC too. Read in another forum some guy got BC racing coilovers and it wouldn't go into sport mode because of an error? With that being said, was looking at Kw v2, does this mean I have to buy it equipped with EDC?
Currently on H&R springs but my struts went bad. That is reason for upgrade. I really like the feel of the adaptive suspension and vss. Do you lose all that with coilovers? Thanks ! |

Coilovers for F30
To my knowledge, KW V2 coilovers don't have an EDC option, you would have to get an EDC delete kit and lose that functionality. Their DDC line does have adaptive functionality, but are around double the price.
Another option would be to replace your dampers with OEM or aftermarket adaptive shocks and struts. Bilstein makes a B6 version that run around $390ea for the fronts, $485ea for the rears (based on FCP Euro's website, and slightly cheaper for their B4 versions). The only possible issue is that they are likely optimized for OEM ride height, so your H&R springs might accelerate wear (which also might be why your stock dampers are failing). Also, VSS is not linked to EDC so whatever route you choose, your variable steering will remain functional AFAIK.
