Cripes, arriving at the dealers next week, there's a chance I'll be in it on Wednesday....but any later I'm away in Belgium. The race is on to register in march!

Personally I'd have preferred your old M2 but understand the reasons for wanting a change and of its type you're getting the pick of the crop; enjoy and if (when?!) you get fed-up and want to move back to something more driver focused at least you shouldn't lose too much money on a RR!
Just a tiny bit envious of a C63S coupe..... |

Long day here Dopper. Currently holed up in a Nottingham TravelLodge, I collected from Duckworth JLR, some 3.5hrs from home and for the first time the whole family came!
A few dodgy pics from the daughter in a minute, I was for once too pre occupied with controls and car set up.

Brilliant dealership at Duckworhs Jaguar Land Rover in Boston. Thoroughly impressed...ummm so impressed I took a total of zero photos. Sorry! A lovely hamper load of goodies in the boot and a huge supply of AutoGlyn kit was a lovely touch.
Fortunately daughter was on hand to grab a few, however the under 16 45 degree style is evident! Anyway into the real question...after 10+ years of BMW how is it...? I will only compare to my X5s as anything else would be nonsense. It is unbelievably smooth and refined. Everyone in the car commented on this, about how smooth it was and how quiet, peaceful even, the cabin was. In true car collection style for me...it was raining. Thus as Boston to Nottingham is 60 miles it now looks like poop already. : Discovering loads I wasn't aware of like the animated LED indicators and the remote start is amazing. Will be using that every day at home! I will get some decent pics when home and washes up etc but that will be long after Easter now. Driving north home tomorrow then overseas with lads football and back to work! It's a hard life

...this is how the remote start looks on it.
The difference is this is a real engine start option, thus it cools the cabin with air con in summer to the requested temp and Ain winter heats it. Also if, like with iDrive, you have the seats and screen heater set to come on auto below a certain temp, these come on also. Delighted with this feature.

Will probably be next on my list but that'll be longer than your average car lifespan as I still keep looking out of the window at mine like it's some fit neighbour
Looks a peach mate, enjoy it!

He’s doing his engineering degree courtesy of JLR!! Keeps trying to get me into one of their products - unfortunately local Jaguar dealer did a great job of getting me back into a BMW
Absolutely fantastic opportunity that I would highly recommend to anyone. Takes 6 years as opposed to 3 but you get so much real life experience and opportunities it’s unreal. Eg last month he spent a week in Sweden, gets to drive cars round a test track ( at upto 130mph) and gets paid !!! Ideal placement for a young lad. Highly competitive though. On an aside on my last birthday did the Landrover experience in Solihull . It’s absolutely amazing what those cars can do even on road tyres Try it, do they still do the free day if you buy one ?

Car looks fantastic Chris and interesting to read how well it compares with the X5. Look forward to hearing how it beds in.
