Not unless you're using it as a meth controller. I think some people use it as an Ethanol controller as well, but need for that is dwindling as PTF is coming out with OTS E maps. There is no reason to stack JB4 and BM3 unless you're using the JB4 as a meth/E controller.

Especially interested in BM3 for B46/B48 now that bolt-on mods are starting to hit the market.

Yes, there are plans. They're working on it right now and making headway. Just know that BMW makes it more difficult each year and we're in that period of people trying to crack the DME and make a viable flashing solution.

Sorry for the delay, I was out yesterday with a migraine but I believe your questions got answered. That said, only running OEM 335 exhaust, the CSF intercooler, cooler spark plugs gapped at .025 and BM3 stage 1 91 octane at the moment. Figured I would address cooling before anything else. I will more than likely grab a catless DP and go stage 2 by next month.

Regarding the stage 2 AGG, does the “agg” only apply to sport/sport+? (N20/n26)

You will realize it's benefits more in sport plus just because of the nature of sport mode (higher rpms) but it applies to all modes.

I love the tune I have on ATM (BR-performance, belgian guys, the first to market with OBD B48 tunes) but I also love the idea of being able to flash my car myself, hence my interest in the BM3. But I suppose there's a significant difference between flashing a car in a tuning shop and developing a device that Average Joe can use in his garage. I'll wait patiently while I save up for the DP, MPE, intake and BM3 so I can hit Stage2 with full force! |

Honestly, I bought this 328 to replace my E92 328 with the mindset I could keep it stock as well... I have owned it four months and am completing the M Sport conversion this week... clearly I suck at this game. The reason I shared this; I say no now... give it a week

I’m super conflicted too. I want to build this thing for as much power as possible, but I also want it to be my daily until I finish school |

Gotcha that makes sense. If you want the burbles then BM3 will give it to you if you're catless (and all the other advantages of BM3 over JB4). But you'd have to remove the JB4.

OTS burble is pretty mild in my experience. At least too mild for my taste. You'll get some nice ones on lower rpm liftoff, but the burbles disappear above 3k rpms on the OTS configuration. I just crank everything up all the way, aggression, duration etc. and that's about satisfactory for me I'd just play around with the custom settings until you get it how you like it

What a read. Guess I am about all caught up. So from what I have read there is stage 1 for stock exhaust/intercooler/etc and stage 2 for catless downpipe and upgraded intercooler? I am currently somewhere in between that. I have a catless AFE downpipe, 2.25" dp/fp connection bottle neck removed, Supersprint front pipe, Dinan free flow axle back and AFE intake. I don't think I will be touching the intercooler, charge pipes, diverted valve or turbo anytime soon. I am hoping that there is something close to maybe a stage 1.5 ots tune available for me... I should be tuning in a week or two. Thanks for the advice/input.
