I'm massively conflicted over F1 this year, I feel like it's going to be a cracker with a lot of the drivers in different teams, I'd really like to watch it all live but I will not pay for Sky but I feel I'll be missing out just watching the CH4 highlights.

And F1 drive to survive on Netflix is a good review of last season, which some nice insights into what went on outside of the main two teams who didn't really feature but that made for an interesting programme, quote of the show was Magnusson telling Hülkenberg to suck his balls, when he challenged him about his driving, also Grosjean losing his shit and his team boss almost losing the plot mid season....

Same here - don't want to pay for Sky but sick of trying to find dodgy streams that keep cutting out!

My issue with Sky is they are not great CH4 team so much better.

Although I believe they have Chandhok and Button this year but the rest I'm not keen on especially the anchor Lazenby.

Not everyone is as wealthy as you, plus some of us don't even have sky at all so it's not £10 per month.

Sorry, my comment was aimed at Steve looking to pay £195pa on Now tv.

I have got the full sky sports package, but haven’t watched an F1 race for years btw.

So, sky included Indy and the price is ""only" £10 extra...
Always start the season with good expectations but I am worried this is a sign of the boring things to come...
I hope I am wrong...

Here a race preview 🤣

Thus may be a way. Copied from hotukdeals

Sony own the broadcast rights to F1, Champions League, MotoGP and UFC plus more in India.

Using an Indian VPN you can watch sports for FREE at sonyliv.com

A premium subscription is available at 499 rupees per year, or roughly £5.50 which gives access to movie channels etc but the sports coverage is free, no login required.

You can watch via the website or use iOS, Android and Android TV apps including Chromecast ability.

Totally legal, Sony-owned service. Nothing shady about it.

Enjoy!

SPIEL:

On June 1, 2014, Sony Pictures Networks India launched LIV Sports, a digital sports entertainment property.

LIV Sports was the official mobile and Internet broadcaster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup starting June 12. LIV Sports showed both live and video-on-demand match content with statistics and analysis.

It also broadcasts La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 , UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE, in football.

It broadcasts international cricket matches played by Pakistan , Australia, Sri Lanka , South Africa , West Indies and Zimbabwe , MOTO GP, WWE RAW , Smackdown and other WWE Pay-Per-Views, UFC and NBA

After Sony's acquisition of Ten Sports Network all TEN Sports live programs also began broadcasting on Sony LIV.

Note: Premier League football is on Hotstar (www.hotstar.com) formerly known as Star Sports. For £2 per year (299 rupees)

You still 'record' TV?

Last 12 months we haven't even had an aerial connected to any TVs in the house.

£7.99/month Netflix account, 'shared' Amazon Prime account with in-laws, £27/month for unlimited Fibre broadband.

My daughter thinks any TV program she wants to watch just 'appears' when ever she wants on which ever device she is near - Tablet/Phone/TV. She gets really confused/angry when we go to visit friends and normal 'TV' appears with a program schedule and she cannot just skip it or change it straight away

Is every program available on demand though? And at the same time as it's available on live TV?

Also what about quality, I noticed that some programs on ITV player weren't available in HD, which were broadcast on Sky in HD (and available on Sky on demand in HD)

I can’t discern the quality difference. Having said that we don’t watch much tv and certainly in my opinion there isn’t enough that’s any good on tv to warrant having to record one when watching something g else

I just bought this pass - you also get access to the other 10 sports channels as well so not bad value in the end.

Does NowTV require 'yet another streaming box/stick' or can it run on Amazon Fire TV ?

Amazon Fire TV is one of the streaming devices Now TV does not work on. Many smart TV's, Roku, Apple TV, Xbox, Playstation, Chromecast, ios, Android and Now TV boxes/sticks are supported. Register up to 4 devices watch on up to 2 simultaneously.

It is getting a little ridiculous, all these sticks, I have Netflix through Virgin box, Amazon through fire stick, and now just bought a NowTV stick.

The sticks I could settle with, but its all the bloody remote controls lying about aswell
