Audio System
Hey, I am planning on getting a 428i M sport later on this month that is nearly fully loaded. The thing is, it does not have HK audio. Just wanted to know, is it really necessary? Is the standard audio system bad?
Thank you. |

I have a 420d M-sport with standard audio, and it sounds ok to me. Its not as good as my last Volvo C70 - but then that had a B&O stereo with 12 speakers!! I have not heard the HK, so cant compare it - but I am perfectly happy with standard and I have my music on all the time. 90% steaming via BT, 5% DAB and 5% from USB.

It depends, David. If the HiFi or the HK is all you are ever going to need, the HK is probably worth the money. If you get the upgrade itch, you may likely be better starting with the HiFi rather than the HK. There are a ton of threads regarding the differences in upgrading the two, but to be quick about it the HiFi is simpler to remove bits of without added complications involving fiber cables.
A lot of the differences are pretty similar to the e90 era and there are hundreds of threads in that section with years of experiments. |
