Has anyone tried the new ps2 map from MHD for those running N55 PWG F30 335? Hows the power like? whats the maximum boost?

Ignore the post shift overboost. 3.5bar MAP not required.

Have any idea about 1/4 times?

I ran it for a couple weeks.. It was targeting 17psi.

Seems like that tune has disappeared from the menu now?

Hm I'll have to check again, I went to flash to my "custom" tune and didn't see it in the ots file section.

I'll be running it again once my turbo is fixed, seemed like a good pump gas tune for the time I ran it.

I might actually go with Fabian/Pureboost for my next custom tune this time, pretty sure he built this Hybrid map. Pureboost did most/all of the ots files in the flasher I believe, solid work.

I am ongoing with a custom tune from Fabian. Some snags in the beginning but very close to being finished now and feels GREAT!

Correct - he also did the Hybrid map.

You need to add manifold boost in your logs. It's hard to say without it, but it looks like you are overboosting and getting throttle closures as a result, both toward the beginning of the pull and near the end of the pull.

Timing good. STFT are a bit negative... up to almost -20% near the end of the pull which is quite a bit.

You should also log in 4th if you are 8AT.

I'll add manifold boost next time. As for the STFT, the values should generally be between positive 10%, and negative 10% when the engine is running at a steady speed. Note though that since sudden changes in the engine speed can cause short-term fuel trim values to fluctuate wildly.

Would it help if I upgrade the HPFP?

Oh by the way, I'm using 94 octane. The PS2 tune comes in 93 octane and 95 octane. Should I flash to 93 octane instead of 95? Would that change anything?

Yes, I know how STFTs work... Just pointed it out because -20% is outside the range of what i would consider 'normal' closed loop fueling adjustments. That's quite a bit of fuel to be pulling.

As far as HPFP goes, you do actually have a dip in HPFP pressure right when you first get into full boost. HPFP would help with that. But it would not help with your negative fuel corrections.

Timing is surprisingly good for 94 octane on the 95 map. All else being equal, a lower octane map is just going to target less timing, but it doesnt look like you have any timing issues, so you can probably run the 95 map.

So what do I need to do to correct the negative value. I presume this is tune related and nothing mechanical.

I just want to make sure that it's safe and won't cause any mechanical issues down the road .

I would grab another 4th gear log (3rd if 6MT) with manifold boost on and let's take a look and see if its consistently like that.

Oh and it also looks like you are missing lambda target; hard to say why STFTs may be off if we can't see lambda versus target. So double check parameters and make sure there is nothing else you want to add as well.

STFTs being negative is in theory better than them being positive; it means the mixture is too rich which is generally safer than it being too lean.

P.S. read here to learn more about datalogging and what parameters you need if you havent already https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1732327
