Really that fast?...

Sorry to write this here... A S4 vs BMW popped up in my youtube recommendations...I didn't know the B8.5 S4 were that fast using dual pulley's... ... I just can't believe it... I'm just glad S4's plow in the corners... lol...

Yes just two pulleys and a tune. They don't plow with the active sport diff though.

Is that an option... particular year? ... From what I saw... on a good day that car can run high mid 11's all day... that's insane... that's was where I wanted to be with my 335i... but you gotta do all the tricks and cash to get there...

Audis and things like Golf Rs are largely all about they're AWD launching capability. Many dual pulley cars have some level of ethanol are seeing 11.5-12.1@114-120mph. An EWG N55 with Stage 2 mods and ethanol is a 115-120mph car, just like the Audi. If you have an Xdrive, mid 11s are doable. It will take slicks to get a RWD F series into the mid 11s. From a roll race, a Stage 2 BMW should walk the Audis after about 80mph.

If you want to go fast real easily, here's a RWD M240i on street tires with a tune, DP, E30, and fuel pump going 11.6@122mph. If he was running slicks, he'd be close to lower 11s with an upper 1.6 60 foot, which is entirely doable.

The BMW crowd isn't much for drag racing like the Audi and VW crowd. I'm sure we'd see a lot of incredible time slips if more people went to the strip.

Thanks for the input... I'm really not into dead-dig dragracing... matter of fact I haven't even done a launch control at all in my car of 3 year ownership... just think it's stress the car doesn't need... E85 isn't to convenient but the big thing is I don't drive my car much... a tank lasts months....lol... I'm afraid of separation and also unneeded disintegration of fuel system... and in response to the other guy... yes my bimmer is way better looking than a VW... I mean Audi... lol... considering heavily on getting coilovers but living in the city makes me worry about the front end... gonna measure distance of front lip to the incline entrance on my building driveway to see how low I can go...

To be honest... there really isn't a car I want to buy for the next 6 years... gonna wait for used model update for the C8 or next M3/4 or maybe the new AWD Mustang... the first 3 years of any car isn't a good idea to buy so in 6 years the used car market will see those updated models...

Good comments. For those of us who need AWD for more than just peace of mind in the rain, I'd love to have AWD on a really trick M3/4. That's about all that would tempt me (he said, never having driven a C63).

The 335i Xdrive was my pick over the M3 exactly for that reason... on occasion the Xdrive moved when I know the M3 would of fish tailed on me possibly causing an accident... I bet you any money the new awd M3/4 is gonna turn faster times at any track especially in the hands of amateur racers with the new system they have... and to top it off.. the quattro proved in road rally racing how superior awd is... which is basically closer to what we drive on everyday roads...

Yup. Any new Gseries Awd is putting down huge numbers already. The X3M with a BM3 stage 1 tune runs 10.90's with a 2.9 O-60. Cars are getting WAY faster than years ago. It used to take thousands to get a car into 10's. Not anymore. Just a DP and tune if you got a new BMW lol
