2018 F30 340i 17" Wheels

I'm considering going to a 17" all square set-up on a 340i for increased comfort. The car currently has the (18x8.0, 225/45 R18) wheel set-up from the factory. There is no track handling package on the car so it has the standard brakes.

I believe some of you use the 17 set-up in the winter but does anyone here go with 17's year-round on their 340i?

Did you get 17" wheels?

I'm looking to move to 17"s for the winter and I was wondering if you had success finding a set up that works.

I think you may run into issues with the wheels clearing the front calipers in the 340. I have the base 340 also, and ran into issues with mounting my old 18" BMW OEM type 162 rims on it as winter wheels. The fronts would not clear the caliper. I ended up purchasing some replica BMW 18" Type 397 wheels. They work just fine.

Are you on run flats now? if so get rid of those and get some non runflat tires.

This is the route I've decided to go.
