Drivers Side Glove Compartment
Hi there,
Has anybody managed to retrofit the drivers side glove compartment? I have an F33 and it doesn't have it, just a recess in the moulding. My F11 had is and I miss it! Thanks, Zak Last edited by Tr0y; 08-06-2014 at 06:31 AM.. |

Yes, the folks over on the F25 (new X3) side have done this. Might have been from a couple years back but I'd check there. If I remember correctly the member made a template and cut the hole himself. It looked perfect when he was done. I would do the same thing if I didn't have that little cubby, it is very handy.

Cool! Thanks for that, I found the thread (here FYI: http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=610657), it looks messy but easy enough. I just need to find the part number for the compartment now, struggling to find it on realoem!

Just wanted to share some insight on this, given that I found someone that did it to their F3X over at another site - https://translate.google.com/transla...%2F&edit-text= *Note - Site seems to be down at this time *
I've asked a local dealer to cut it for me, given I don't have the tools. They've quoted me around an hour or so of labour. Unfortunately they didn't have the correct cutting tool at the time, so I'm just waiting for them to get the tool so i can finally get the box retrofitted! |

my colleague has done this to his car, I wouldn't dare cutting my dashboard apart! make sure you cut smaller to begin with rather than bigger as there would be no way back then

Well, finally got it done. Charged little bit over an hour but given it's convenience, its nice to have.

So in addition to Canadian F30s not having headlight washers, they also didn't offer that package until now - which is optional equipment. |

Lame-o! Of bmw for not having something like this standard on all their cars especially with the driver arm rest storage and glove compartment being so tiny in such a huge car. That compartment is huge and i can easily put my suglasses in there with room to spare.
