Updating iDrive from v5 to v6 Lite advice
I have an NTB-Evo-J head unit currently running iDrive v5. I'd like to update to the later v6 Lite, which it supports.
I'd normally do coding and these sort of things myself using Carly, but software updates are not something it supports (although you can using Bimmercode, which is similar tool). I don't fancy buying Bimmercode just do do this update, as I already have Carly that other than this, does pretty much the same thing. The cheapest options would be to use a coding company as looks like it can be easily done via USB. So I guess my question is, does anyone have any recommendations? Found the two below, any one used them before? OEM car multimedia (£30) MAK Coding (£35)

Just code HMI_ID_VERSION = ID6_LITE - no firmware update required.
I can give you the USB .bin file for free to do it if you don't want to code it yourself, I just need the last 7 digits of your VIN. |
