xHP for 3 and 4 series 30 and 35d

I was waiting for xHP to come out with a flash for the n57 engine and I realised yesterday that it has come out for 1-2 weeks now.

Has anybody flashed his car with this? Is it any good?

I am planning on doing this after I get the car back from BMW (need to book that first though...).

I don't have an Android, so I installed a virtual android on my laptop and tested the connection and everything works fine. I think the iPhone version is coming out in Q2 of 2019.

Good to know. How was it compared to the Alpina flash? Or you didn't try that?

The 8hp is pretty quick and nice, I am thinking about doing this for when I get the car remapped to get rid of the torque limits. Also, it disables the torque converter, which should make the car feel better at lower speeds, 1st and 2nd gear.

Could you feel the difference with the lack of the torque converter? Did it feel better?

I didn't try the Alpina flash. Not sure it was available for the d at the time.

Well the flash does not disable the torque converter, but does lockup ealier in the low gears. That means the "rubberband" feeling almost disappears when accelerating.
In my old 330d it made a huge difference. It removed the torque limiter and by that the tuner I used at the time easier could map the hybrid turbo to deliver all it could without the gearbox telling the engine to hold back.
And the shifttimes was a lot better. I only tried stage 3 at the time and it was a bit harsh in sportmode but I liked it.
For the 8hp I would get it if I start tune the engine to get rid of the torque limits. But im not sure I wanna go down that road with all the issues I read about the transfer case......

The transfer case issues are worrying me as well. But I am still intrigued by this. Has anybody tried it on the F30?

I've flashed stage 3 on my 435d.

It's not the night and day I saw on my E90 with the N57 but it's definitely a step forward with faster shifting, faster torque converter lockup and the allure of the removal of the torque limits.

What are the issues with the transfer case as I've not read anything of this nature?
