F30 340i M sport bumpers or no?
Hey everyone i have a 2018 340i xdrive and have quite a few things planned to do on it. I already got a downpipe, exhaust, coilovers. Other things I plan to do are a hpfp and a pure850 turbo, some wheels, and some small stuff. But my car didnt come with the m sport package and it really bugs me. I got a steering wheel ordered so thats done, I really want to do the bumpers but im just not sure. To get them both from Suvneer.com it would be around 1200-1400. I called two shops around here and one quoted me 2300 to paint and install them, the other quoted me around 1800. Wanted to get someone's input on this. I plan to keep the car for another 3-4 ish years

It doesn’t have all the MSport items such as the 2nd radiator. And the resale price is based on VIN which will continue to show it as a non-MSport. Could actually make it worth less with non-oem parts. |

I did an OEM M Sport conversion on a individual color car. Looks real good but I probably wouldn't do it again. It's a ton of $$$.

xDrive sits quite high, so some of the effect may be lost. Do you at least have the sports seats?
As said above, I would not pay extra if I were to buy a used DIY conversion. On the contrary, I would probably pass. Would make me think the original bumpers (and possibly other parts)were probably damaged. If you have space to keep the old bumpers and you really want the M bumpers on a non-M sport car, go for it. Otherwise I would not recommend. |

Its your money, but I always felt like M Sport "conversions" are just terrible value. Not a huge fan of aftermarket parts, and unless money is literally no object, that is money that could be spent on other parts for the vehicle with tangible benefit. Or just in your bank account being saved for maintenance / repair. And if it was true that money was in fact no object, why not take your exhaust / downpipe / mods off your car now and trade for an M sport?
