Interior trim finishing strips ??

Does anyone who has seen the F30 in person know if the trim finishing strips (red & black) are a separate piece from the aluminum or black trim?

I really want the black trim but don't want the red finishing piece and was wondering if that would be possible to swap out to black.

One of the videos discussed the stripe as a separate piece with a matte finish. I am starting to come around to black-in-black with a high-gloss black panel and red stripe. Not a fan of rough-brushed aluminum.
