Sorry can't tell you what the BMW recommendation would be for that setup (if there would be one, which I assume that there is no recommendation)

If you put the 370 rotors in front, I assume coding would be indicated, even if the rear brakes stay OEM. But again, just my guess.
Just test drive after proper brake bleeding and see if the brake balance is good. If you have easy access to coding, you could try one and other setting and see what works better.

Thnks a lot, so the worst scenario will be a mushy brake pedal?
Any chance not to brake and hit ?

I belive, that coding the M Sport Brakes will reduce the brake power.
So pushing the pedal down with the same pressure, will make less pressure arriving at the brakes than with smaller sized brakes. (At least that's what I read somewhere in here)
The logic behind that is, that otherwise the big rotor brakes would constantly be "over reacting" when slightly pushing the brake pedal.

I have done it, without coding, today. The pedal is very slightly softer than before and I really can not feel the BRAKE UPGRADE here for sure I did not tryi it on high speeds yet as full braking. I'll pst when I ddid it.

But I'll remain uncoded right now untill I have the rear m sport 2 pots.

Well it has often been discussed, that some of the users think the brake pedal is to soft even with the new M Performance Brakes. This is caused by the brake pads. I read, that some users changed from the M Performance Brake pads to the regular one.

This Pad
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...&q=34116859066
is said to have a soft initial bite

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...&q=34116865460
is said to have a stronger initial bite

I installed the M Performance one today and yes, it is kind off soft than my silver M Sport. So you are saying that is the pad type? Can my old pads fit the front one? I had one piston crapy caliper in the rear before, don't think the pads will fit the 2 piston m performance one.

Looks nice

The front brake pad of the 4 caliper brake with 340mm rotor (OEM on 335i or S2NHA Option with 340mm rotor) will also fit into the 4 caliper M Performance brake with 370mm rotor.

Brake pad for rear brakes are different.

Seems like the soft pedal in the MPBBk also can be address with coding

I am looking to make the same upgrade on my "new to me" 2013 328i Sport Line. Love the silver and yellow caliper.

Thumbs up

A couple of quick pictures after the install. Now just have to get the new wheels on this coming weekend. After reading up on the experiences of a few others, I may need to go back to the dealership and ask them to code the brakes, they're feeling a bit too mushy...

Just so I understand clearly, the only difference between the 335i M-Sport Brakes and the M-performance Brakes are the rotors? The M-Performance Brakes have Dimpled and Slotted Rotors and the M-Sport Variant does not? The calipers and pistons are the same (aside from the colors)?

Wasn't the supposed "Advantages" of slotted and drilled rotors debunked as a myth in anything that isn't a proper track car?

They look good, help with the heat/performance under different weather conditions and comes with the kit at least the fronts. BUT they also make noise as they are dippled/slotted when air is passing through. It is just notice driving with the windows down and close to walls or medians.

I'm not talking about the MPerf rotors - I'm referring to dimpled and slotted rotors in general.

Is there evidence for this for normal street driving (aka outside of track use)?

No but holding plain 340mm rotors in one hand and the MP 370mm rotor in the other, they "felt" same/ similar in weight.
