F36 wing mirror replacement
Just seeing if anyone can help - colleague managed to take his wing mirror out on a post while reversing his 440i GC (2017) last week - he spoke with local garage near work who told him to get one from breakers / flea-Bay & they would fit..
He got one for £200 (stressed to breakers it was for an F36) but he says that the mirror has 6-pins = not 5 like his old one (or maybe vice-versa). Mirror doesn't work & door window now not working? Indie saying that the mirror is wrong = I'm thinking he could ask them to cannibalise the electrics out of his old one? Should he just bite the bullet & get another or would cannibalising the old one work? Cheers |

I'm guessing it was the passenger mirror? It would be easier return for a refund or to buy a replacement mirror and sell the old one. |

Swapping over the electrics isn't too hard.
Follow the guide I put together in this thread. Guide to retrofitting the 'missing' dimming mirror. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1456597 |
