Bay Area Dealership Recommendation
Hey guys, I got a 340i with stock brakes. Was recently able to get a set of M Sport brakes for reasonable price.
I still have original warranty and maintenance plan that covers stock brakes. Looking for a dealership or SA that would be willing to swap in the M-Sport calipers instead since they have to do all the work anyways. Anyone got recommendations? Thanks! |

Gone to a couple different dealerships; Stevens Creek (SJ), Fremont, and East Bay (Pleasanton).
East Bay has by far been the most helpful for under warranty fixes without a hassle. I go to BrykoMotors in Union City for between maintenance or wtv else. The owner and other tech are both certified BMW tech’s from East Bay. A lot of SA at the dealership see these guys too. They’re knowledgable, honest, and provide A1 work. FWIW, *some* dealers might give you the "unless we sell it out of the box new, we won't warranty the work or part." Just an FYI, as I've heard that a few times from even my most trusted shops... and I was only asking to install brake pads!
For shops... that are non-dealer... Try Edge Motorworks in Mountain View, Bavarian Professionals in Milpitas, Auto Analysts in Castro Valley, VT Motorworks in Pleasanton, Bavarian Tuning in Santa Rosa. These guys are all BMW CCA club sponsors, members, and track people. Average shop labor is about $150/hour. |
