Picked the car up on Friday

Basically Love it, as others have said with the modes you have 3 cars in 1. In Eco its tame as a pussy cat, switch it to comfort it starts to purr, in sport it snarls and growls.

Some comments (good)

1. DAB - a must if you listen to MW in the UK, In the area I live I always had bad reception in MW but the DAB works great

2. ASS - For me not a problem, press the break hard and it will switch off, release the break a little and it restarts.

3. IPOD - As I have no NAV this was a potential problem so I took my IPOD for the delivery, my CA swore that the normal IPOD lead would work, needless to say it failed, his Y lead from his car failed. We then Borrowed a lead from the parts team and this worked straight away (PN 61.12.0.440.812) 40.81 GBP

4. Phone - I have a Blackberry 9800 and this connected via Bluetooth but no contacts, my wifes blackberry 9860 linked perfectly. After a couple of days of playing my phone is now working.

The bluetooth phone is fantastic and a great feature of the car for me, but my previous car was an 02 525 so a bit old

5. Modes - Anyone new to the car or on a test drive try this as it really shows the difference in the modes. First make sure you are on a clear road. Put the car in ECO mode and accelerate normally (the way you would in normal traffic so not foot on the floor) then without moving the throttle, switch to COMFORT and the car will accelerate faster. then to SPORT and the car fly's.

6. Cruise Control - This works really well, Set the speed and a Green dot appears at the set speed on the speedo. flick the little button on the steering wheel and you increase the speed by 1mph, flick it hard and you increase the speed in 5mph intervals. Went from 70 to 95 with 3 hard flicks. AMAZING.

7. The look - Need I say more, the car looks great

8. The interior and boot(trunk) - the car is so much bigger than the 2002 525 SE I had before, I can actually get people in the back of the car without getting kicked in the back + I can get golf clubs and luggage in the trunk

Comments (Bad)

2. I did not buy enough gadgets.....

3. imperial blue gets dirty real quick.....

Brilliant! Get on the UK Regional Forum!! Glad you're enjoying it, I was so close to ordering Imperial Blue on mine but I saw one that had only done 200 miles and it was very dirty already! Keep us updated

So your car didn't come with the y-cable? I thought they came sealed with the manuals?

US models do, however, they add it after it gets to the states is what my dealer told me. I have a US model on order, but I will receive it here in Germany where I am stationed. I will not get the cable.
