All this talk of immigrants dying when they cross the waters to the UK. Why is it anyone's fault if a life is lost? It's that person's choice (or not depending on the age) to try and make such a dangerous journey. The French blaming the UK. The UK immigration policy in disarray. Brexit means the UK will not be able to send asylum seekers so easily back to countries they came from. Kent is full. Immigrants die all the time. Like the Vietnamese women found dead in a refrigerated lorry.

International maritime law states that anyone at distress at sea must be rescued. So someone says they will kill themselves at sea if not allowed safe passage to the UK. Why is the country blamed for that? Brexit was overshadowed by the inherent racism the media portrayed toward Meghan Markle. Things like Brexit and immigration have yet to be addressed.

I think we’ve been lucky in the past that France have taken immigrants back. Not sure if they had to or not, but can’t see how they’re any more their responsibility than ours.

I’m not getting into this debate on another thread again. Last time it ended with a load of white BMW owners saying that racism is a figment of people’s over sensitive imaginations.

Maybe I shouldn’t have used it to point out my feelings on immigrants. My mistake, sorry.

What I should have said is that I sympathise with immigrants desperate enough to make dangerous cross continent and cross sea journeys.

I don’t feel a sense of entitlement like this country is mine and I have earnt it. I feel very lucky to have been born a Brit, rather than a being born on the streets of Mogadishu for example.

I see you’re misquoting again as the other thread you tried to say that the U.K. was a racist country and when asked for examples you couldn’t and since then you tried to paint everyone who disagreed with you as a racist or denying racism.

we will be in such a recession from the virus that Brexit will have no impact, and no one will want to come here as ours will be worse than Europe - as a strategy there are flaws but I see where BoZo is coming from.... stop the desire and stop the problem, and no down side to Brexit if its already mega shit...
