I do see that now. Thats interesting.

I would be willing to try this system with my catless down pipe. I would probably either buy or get a custom midpipe with no resonator and then add this axle section to that so I can control my Valve. I have th Armytrix valve system now, but wouldnt mind trying something else out that could be louder. I would still try to utilize a quad tip setup as well.
Srsly a full turbo-back for our cars does not sound good. I have CTS turbo catless downpipe and afe axleback exhaust that is a very nearly identical concept to this that uses the factory valve actuator: https://afepower.com/afe-power-49-36...exhaust-system

The noise was absolutely unbearable. Not volume, but noise. It was borderline embarrassing to drive around my luxury 2 door coupe. After putting a vibrant 1142 ultra quiet resonator in (which is way bigger than the OEM bullet style) it cleaned it right up.

I'm only repeating this to help others not waste money on repeated shop visits when they can't take it anymore like me

Edit: I had also gone to the shop to cut out OEM resonator before I removed stock cat. As soon as the cat was removed from the equation was when it became night and day terrible
I wanted to go with CTS' catless and get this system; you think the stock resonator will be too loud?

Id be interested in a street version. It will hook up just like oem with the valve etc?

Id love an exhaust that with the valve closed it goes through a muffler and then with it open its straight through on that side.
Yes it will be able to be controlled through bimmerlink. The street version is only 2lbs heavier so it's definitely worth it for me having a quieter sound while closed, especially catless.

Is it still a straight pipe open?

Yes, just a beefier muffler

So you had catless downpipe, no resonator on the mid pipe, and the afe axle back? This with the valve open sounded bad? What about with the valve closed?

So if i were to get the race version of this exhaust, it might make sense to get a midpipe with a resonator on it.
It was (temporarily) a full straightpipe with the valve open because I had removed the stock resonator and had catless dp. Honestly sounded like a tractor. It was bearable with the valve closed, but the valve opens on its own at 2500+ rpm, or on heavy throttle.

Seriously recommend avoiding catless dp + no resonator + valved straight pipe

I don't know if the OEM bullet style would fix it enough, I went with a beefier one because I didn't think a small one would cut it.

Rasp city. Vibration city. Sounded full out tractor or a generator with no muffler

As an aside, here is a clip of my catless + vibrant + valved setup after I added the res:

I didn't take a vid of the old setup because I dealt with it a whole weekend trip and couldn't bear it and took it in the shop the next day after I got home

I had removed the stock res before going catless, that's what caused the problem.

I didn't keep it but after how ridiculous the turbo-back sounded I installed a beefier res and now it is better

There was some issue when they were being prototyped and they thought they wouldn't be able to proceed with production. But they figured it out so should be by the end of September. It will be a small batch though so if you're interested in getting one soon I'd suggest watching the website and instagram for updates.

Just got word that there maybe a chance it'll be out by the end of next week. Do whatever you have to do but I absolutely love these exhaust systems so I'll wait for however long it takes. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by jumping through hoops.. it's very easy to purchase it's just limited first run

this looks promising. I wanted to do something like this when I set up my vibrant axleback, but never went thru with the qtp valve.

would be interested to hear sound clips.

and yes, don't delete the midpipe resonator if you go catless. personally I wouldn't remove the midpipe resonator for any exhaust setup

I'm going to do exactly that; catless downpipe, Valvetronic's Street valved muffler (race version is slightly lighter with a smaller muffler but I want the ultimate quiet and loud exhaust. Completely agree about the resonator, too much when it's taken off, no need to change the midpipe.

Do you think catless, with resonator and then the valveteonic is louder than catless, no resonator, with a valve on a box muffler like armytrix or mpe?

I'm not sure about armytrix don't have a ton of experience with them. It'll for sure be louder than MPE; I have MPE now and it's great but as you can see by this thread I'm wanting a lot more sound
