44k miles on the clock when it lost compression in cylinder 3. I was running port injection with AIC1 controller and the AIC1 appears to be defective now, which is likely the root cause for engine going down.

The Shop CT pulled the engine for further diagnostics, piston ring cylinder 3 had cracked causing low compression, which also caused light scoring on the cylinder. I was debating just throwing in a new piston+rod in cylinder 3 but I got a deal on a built engine from a part out.

Let me know if you'd like more pictures. It's currently being stored in The Shop CT.

This price does not include shipping. I'm happy to help facilitate that (getting on a pallet etc) but would like you to cover the cost.

Willing to negotiate some but this is easily worth $2k. But I'd like to get rid of it.

nope actually Tom Wrigley's old race engine from his first m240i build!

I've put down 1100+ NM with EFR 9180 turbo so far. still figuring out my tire setup so haven't gotten times yet.
