Well it is stil not clear for me, however you all write...
The M Sport brakes, 2NH, needs larger wheels here in Sweden. So something has changed, and I guess it is the brakedisk to 370mm - which is the only thing that can create the need for a larger wheel. So, as far as I figured this out: 335i M Sport Brakes in EU, order number 2NH, gives BLUE 4 pistons front + 2 pistons back, plus larger brake disks (370 mm front). Standard 335i brakes - well here there is no clear answeer, except the brakedisc is smaler, in EU anyway. If it is 2-piston front or 4-piston front, I have no idea. I would guess it is not a 4-piston. 335i with M-package "line" - well I would assume it is the same brakes as in a standard 335i. Adding the performance brakes, as in the multicolor version (like gold, red and maybe some other color), will add a slotted brake disc to 4-piston calipers, most likly 370mm. Then there is that last question: Will the BMW M-series M3 F30 - when ever it is relesed - have brakediscs like for example M3 E92 with drilled holes - and if so which size ? and will they fit the M Sport Calipers ? hmmm... |

Found another thread that shows the 335i standard brakes:
http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=790971 It clearly shows that the original 335i brakes uses 4 piston brembo in front, and single piston rear. |

Also see here for caliper sizes: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=795074 As some people have already noted in the many other threads, the cost is the replacement cost of the standard 335i brakes, which is not the same a buying a new set ( i.e. getting 2 sets of brakes with your car ).

ALL US 335i's have 4 pistons up front. 2 pistons for M sport and Sliding setup for rear. The US M Performance is a step up from the regular 335i setup because: 1. Pad's are wider/larger. 2. Brake swept area is wider/larger. 3. Rotors up front and out back are larger. I sincerely apologize for any confusion and misinformation I may have caused, it's REALLY bad how you have to literally take everything apart yourself and look at it to verify. ADMIN, please update the sticky on this for everyone.

That is the question. |
