Question on a "hoo" sound after going Stage 2 BM3
Hello, just a question:
I had a local (tuning) shop a few weeks ago install a VRSF FMIC and VRSF Chargepipe on my BMW 435i. When I went home, I flashed Stage 2 Octane 93 AGG. I went cruising with some buddies and I drove pretty hard, and afterwards I noticed whenever I'm driving and give it a lil hard rev and let go, I hear a "HOO" sound, like an owl. This sound comes after hearing the turbo spool and letting go of the gas. I don't get that sound at low RPM's. I never got this sound before when I was running stock OEM parts.. Not sure if I have a boost leak or damaged something, or possibly something to do with my intake? Any ideas?

That's your diverter valve, everything is probably fine. You didn't hear any of this before because you're running way more boost on stage 2.
It's possible the extra boost has killed your diverter valve and it's leaking, but you would need to log the boost with bootmod to tell.

^^ This. However I will tell you mine makes that slight noise and I am PS2 with upgraded DV valve so it could be normal. Logs are best as stated before.

I heard the same sound when I first had my catless DP installed. No issues so far knock wood and it's been on the car for months now. For me, I believe it's the less restrictive pipe allowing more air to flow. Things will naturally get louder as you're increasing power and remove the restriction.
