On which wheels? I have 442M and was interested in widening the fronts. Don't care so much about the rears but if I can go wider I probably will. Did you add spacers?

This is the setup I'm thinking about doing on my F31. With M437's. Any rubbing problems with this? Also, any pics of your setup?

My F31 is running on OEM Style253 wheels.
8.5" front & ET25
10" rear & ET41
Tires are 245/35R20 (26.8" diameter on tires, which is absolute maximum that fits on front) on all 4 wheels. Little bit of stretch on rear wheels to avoid rubbing.

I've found no one else in these forums running 255/35/19 front, but I've found a great deal on that exact size if I can make it work on my 2013 320i xdrive. Just curious if you've had any issues with rubbing or other since you posted this?

Thanks

here, Cramazin has 255/35/19 on 19x9 ET29 437M in front. he is lowered.
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=265

Bimmerguy91 has 255/35/19 square on 19x8.5 ET35
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...8&postcount=13

there are many guys with 255/35/19 in front. [search] 255/35/19 and look through threads that appear to have information you are searching for.

There are guys running even 255/40/19 front on stock suspension without extra 10 mm of x-drive height, as dst86 here: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...020367&page=10

I'm currently running MPS4S 255/40/18 (same outer dimensions as 255/35/19) on 18x8.5 et35 all around on VMR v810 on Stock/Base 340i

I'm considering going wider in the rear. Leaning towards 18x9.5 ET45 VMR810 with 285/35/18.

Anyone gone wider than 285 in the rear?

If I went up to 19" in the rear there's 295/30/19 or 305/30/19 MPS4S available that I could mount on 19x10.5 ET45, but I've not heard of anybody going this wide on a stock f30.

From what I've seen, only 1 person posted that they fit 295. Can't find it now.

295 with +45, lowered, is the absolute widest. here is rays340i with 295/30/19 +45 lowered...
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...2&postcount=85

EDIT rays340i has 1.9 camber also. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...03&postcount=8

285 +45 to +40(slight poke unless lowered) is realistically the widest on F3/4 series. here is aps with 285/30/19 +40 lowered...
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=291

i'm curious, why so wide? traction issues or just looks? rolling resistance and weight will affects your acceleration, braking and handling albeit slightly. if you don't care, post some pics after it's on.

fwiw, your car would look better mildly lowered on some eibach.

Cool, Thanks for the references. I think I'll stick with the 285 18" plan.

As for why, yes to both.
RWD running MHD Stg2 now and I'll be going Stg2+ e30 once its released and I find a HPFP. The bump in low end torque looks pretty substantial so a larger tire at a lower pressure should help hooking up.
Weight wise my stock 225 runflat w/cast 397 wheel setup came in at 52lbs and this 285 on an 18x9.5 should be about 49lbs so still a win win there IMO.

437M wheels on stock 255/35/19 front 275/35/19 rear p zeros. On my 2014 435i xdrive

7+ lb per wheel lighter than my 442M's that came with my car.

No rubbing problems but as per alohasurftoad I'm technically out of xdrive spec

this is fairly interesting. i have seen as high as 1.2% diameter difference on 2-series x-drives with OEM wheels and tires. you are at 2.3% diameter difference which far exceeds it. i'm beginning to wonder if it really matters. in this thread from 2015 the OP found notes from BMW saying for maximum performance diameters should be the same.
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1142647

i'll continue to use 1% even if your x-drive is doing fine with 2.3%. i'll advise people they can choose whatever tire sizes they want at their own risk.

I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary at all. It definitely feels snappier with the lighter setup though.

Also it tramlines a bit now, I think it's due to way wider tires though

Maybe look at the %dif of the x3m/x4m/m5? They are all staggered and xdrive

are they staggered diameters as well? i doubt if they're using the same transfer case, nor am i going to research the subject matter. i don't even have x-drive myself.

as i stated earlier, if i give x-drive advice, i'm going to say "same diameters are best", "try to stay below 1% if possible", "codestar has 2.3% so you can exceed 1% at your own risk.

Not my car but I can answer because several others have gotten the same set up.

1. It's in the watermark
2. No
3. No
I know this is a old post but I'm trying to buy my friends M4 wheels and tires they are

275/35 zr19 rear ET35

Would they have any rubbing issues on 2014 328ixdrive sport line which is on stock suspension and running 225 18inch all around
Looking for some help 🙏🏽

Question Could these X3 wheels fit the F30/31

I am looking into changing the wheels on my 2015 xDrive and come across several styles for the X3 which appear to be a bit wider but close to F30/31 OEM offsets. 622M, 309M,608M and 369M.

They are all

Front 8.5 x 19 ET38 Rear 9.5 x 19 ET48

Anyone tried any of these or is there some reason they won't fit.
