Yep pretty rubbish!

Top Gear is back on Sunday though, so maybe that will be watchable?

Chris Harris knows his cars and is worth watching. The end.

I thought the episode was ok. A few parts a bit silly, but also had a few chuckles, and fascinating to see the Chinese infrastructure phenomenon. I'd love to have a go of that Nio!

Worse ways to waste an hour anyway.

Liked the latest episode as was looking forward to the m5 review.
Was not disappointed! What a machine would love one. Shame there was no mention of the competition as I am sure that would be a second or two faster again on their track but I would go for the standard version too living in the city
Scotland did look the business! Best roads I’ve been on is Cornwall around the North Atlantic highway - the nc500 looked on another level, good move from the tourist board Ireland has the wild Atlantic way as well refreshing in this day that driving for leisure is promoted. Good for local business. Surely we need one in England / wales?

I'd love an Alpina 5, Mike, with a diesel or petrol engine, lovely cars
Their reworking of the non M Sport front end doesn't always work too well but the latest 5 looks just fine. They've taken a very good car and made it even better. Clarkson loves 'em for what it's worth

It was ok. The cliches on Scotland are to be expected, but they're right that those roads are some of the best in the world. Apart from the roads themselves, and the scenery, there's bigger all other traffic a lot the time, especially out of (camper van) season.

Knowing a fair bit of the geography of the route they did I know that the editing of the film bears little resemblance in large parts to the reality of how the route would unfold if drive it yourself.

From a spirited drive perspective they did exactly the right thing by chopping off the half of the NC500 they did, as a large part is single track road, or busier, and not quite as stunning for scenery.

Have to say, the Alfa GTV6 has really grown on me over the years too.

The M5/B5 were impressively quick round a fairly twisty track too.

The Scottish roads are great. You can't deny that.

However. Coming from Scotland, deep frying everything is a nonsense. Please ignore that stupid section.

Also, people don't just drink Irn Bru and McEwan's Export. Don't understand why they do such childish things. Even my 9 year old son was saying it was stupid and not funny!!!!

But would like a M5!!!

Today I was at Litchfield getting some work done on the M4 and got chatting to the other customer in getting work done, and it turns out he's one of the camera men/drone operator for the grand tour and top gear!

Absolutely fascinating stories and inside knowledge shared!

The M5 segment this week used 34 sets of tyres!!!!

And the X19 actually let go during the trip and you can see when it happened as the smoke starts coming out of it.

Was my chance to ask all the questions about how they produce it... any time they do races they are actually the real results, but they tend to rerun it and then reshoot as required to tell the actual story.

And most of the driving you see on camera that looks good are the pro drivers.

I thought this weeks was a pretty decent episode. The astronauts and their corvettes was very enjoyable and even the C3 bit was quite amusing. And it did show just how capable ordinary motors really are.
Chuckled a few times too. And the Aston looked great on the track.

So should Mercedes AMG 43’s and 53’s not have AMG badges either?

Ooh, has someone got a dodgy M badge.

Clarkson is right, BMW have broken all the fanboy "M" rules with some of their new model designations. If the factory can stick them on a non M car now, it means anyone can stick one on their 320d if they like.
