EBT audio delay and occasional hiccup

ive coded EBT in my f30 and it appears that there is a delay of about three seconds in the audio from my iphone x. i.e. when i press pause, it continues to play for 3 seconds and then pauses... some kind of buffering? is this normal?

i have also experienced what im going to call 'hiccups' where the audio will get all garbled and sped up for a second or two and then return to normal. occasionally when this happens it will continue to play static every 3 or 4 seconds. i can fix that by disabling the bluetooth link and then when i enable it again and it reconnects it is back to normal (with the delay)

just curious if anyone else has experienced these things, or has a fix.

Hi, i activated EBT on my f30 hu champ, the issue that i have is that almost every time when i want to play something from my phone i have to start it playing on my phone before in start the car otherwise there is no sound, is connected but not sound ,only other thing that occasionally helps isnswitching between radio and bluetooth audio ! Wery strange, i was wondering is somebody else might run accross this !

I am triyng to see what options is best for me to do the nbt upgrade, i want the bigger screen and all the extra that you get ! I recently activated connected drive on my car, big dissapointment, wasted 80 pounds on this bussines nav !

I do in fact use an iphone X. not an XS or XR, just the X

where did you read that this was a problem with the phone? I dont have problems with other BT devices...

I recently bought the iPhone XR to replace my 6 which worked fine in the car, the XR didn't work at all until I updated the Idrive system from BMW site, very rarely when I try to skip songs I get a delay/won't skip to next song.

Hey man,
Yeah there's a delay for me too. Really doesn't matter though unless you're trying to watch a YouTube video which can't be done while driving anyways

The garbled sound has happened a few times, I've assumed it's just problems with buffering the songs.

Go to BMW update fill in your vin number download the update for your I drive put it on USB insert in car & update.

Make sure USB is 64gb & fat32
