anyone know of a place that does inspections by just hooking up the ob2 connector and reading codes. no visual. I'm looking for a place that's busy and doesn't care to do deep diving just the OB2 hook up and that's it. I have a 2013 335i no exterior mods show room condition and everything is up to par.
(just looking to go catless) I will pass with just ob2 connection, just not visual. help?

They will smell a catless car easily. I would spend the hour and put the cat back on every year and just eliminate the putting the techs livelihood at risk.

that's good input. I dont want to mess with anyone's job man. most places dont have smog but nys does. cats do nothing to help the environment. its BS. but thanks for response

Do you have a 02 simulator? Curious how you'll pass with OBD2 hook up.

shop by me does "mini" cats just for the sensors. it will pass obd2!

Cats do everything to protect the environment. Uncatted modern cars don't go any quicker but they do spew a LOT of toxic gassed into the air. If we all drive uncharted cars you would be choking big time. I'm no super green by any means but pollution is a real problem.
