Vehicle Check: 2014 328i w/ N26

As soon as I reset my oil life after changing my oil last night...

It immediately triggered the Vehicle Check message and gave me under 300 miles to get it done...

Anyone know exactly what this would entail for my vehicle?

Anyone know how much the dealer will try and charge me?

Just cracked 70k miles.

CBS vehicle check should be tied to every other CBS oil change.

Dealer SA said vehicle check includes hooking up to BMW diag systems/tools to read/clear codes, plus follow factory steps to check a bunch of stuff.

My last vehicle check was skipped(just reset the light myself).

Our local dealer charges $200 for vehicle check.

Appreciate the deets...

Im pretty sure mine said RESET NOT POSSIBLE in the hidden menu. I could be mistaken though...

I have all green triangles in iDrive and dont want to get a yellow/orange one for missing a service...

if it does say "reset not possible" now, let it decrements down and retry the reset procedure later.

usually oil change message is the one that shows up, i haven't seen vehicle check message displayed stand-alone.

Do you have a code scanner like the one from Schwaben? Maybe try to reset it that way, or with an app like Carly if possible?

I actually was able to reset next time I tried via hidden menu...

I guess it won't let you reset two things at once, maybe?

Forgot to take a pic but it definitely appeared on the tach, like the oil change warning does.

I guess I'm all good now... I skipped it... hopefully not missing out on a magical service/inspection...

Skipping should be OK. My local service did 20(or 30)-point quick inspection anyway, so the only thing missing was scope(read code from OBDII), so it is not too bad.

Is there something special that the scope can see that a scanner can't?

Jw.
