Looking for a 335i....What if I DIDN'T get a Msport?
So I could get a Msport but I want to see what I would be missing if I didn't. I specifically want a red 2015 335i sedan and I'm curious if I should completely write off a non Msport car?
I plan to change the wheels, suspension, steering wheel for a M3, and not sure what other changes. So if I did end up getting a non Msport over a Msport what exactly would I be missing? |

I have the xDrive Sport line. Im honestly super happy with it. I do like the rear bumper of the M sport better but (I am probably being biased just cause I have one) I like the regular front bumper better.
If you arent getting xDrive im pretty sure you are missing the possible M Sport adaptive suspension. @ the time I was looking for a car I ruled out getting any car w/o xDrive just cause I live in the mountains more snow than I am used too, but if you are getting a RWD I think M sport is great, but Sport line is a option. Luxury as well but I do not own one of have ever driven one so I dont want to speak for that. |

For 2015, Sport and M Sport get sport seats and black headliner. You absolutely want the sport seats, so avoid a base car.

I will be getting RWD and will discard any XDrive. Also I want to go to quad tips in the rear once I get exhaust so maybe the rear bumper isn't that big of a deal?

imo, the steering wheel, sport seats, black trim and headliner, body kit is worth it. if you're putting a quad, you swap to a quad outlet diffuser whereas you'll have to cut the non-m bumper.

Yea that steering wheel is freaking awesome. Thats the ONE thing that I am super jealous of, but I dont want to pay to switch it that bad haha. Either way youll be happy with the f30 335. Its a beast of a car and it makes a great DD

Get the m-sport, it is night and day compared to non-msport aesthetics wise.

I rather like the M-sport suspension, which I think also came on the Sportline as well as the Msport. But if you're going to junk that I guess it doesn't matter. |

Its mainly the steering wheel and the body kit between sportlines and msport. I think the m adaptive suspension could be ordered on any car base through m-sport. Adaptive is def an extra though and isn't standard on m-sport. It is included with the track handling package or a la carte.

I know Sportline has gloss black mirror caps (which some people might not like) as well as black exhaust tips. I dont know if MSport does but theres that as well.

Sportline? What all is this? This is the first I've heard of that.
I thought it was either normal 335i or Msport. Edit: Is the Sportline the one with the interior with the red colored line through the dash and the red stitching? |

There's a couple different lines. Base, Sportline, Luxuryline, and m-sport. Sportline will sometimes be optioned with the red stitching on the seats. Sportlines also have red stitching standard on the steering wheel. Lux line has a bunch of chrome bits around but I'm not sure what the exact details are. Anything with sport in the line gets sport seats.

HAHAHA. Welcome to BMW. THere are very few hard and fast rules. Everything has an exception.
Best thing you can do is start looking at the VIN's and running through the decoder: https://decoder.bvzine.com/ And look for the stuff you want. In my case, dealbreakers were things like the sport seats, Msport suspension, 18" wheels. Everything else I didn't care much about, knowing I could add a backup camera if I didn't find one with PDC+BackupCam. |

Take a good hard look at an M-sport vs. non-M-sport in person.
Which one looks better to you? The steering wheel can be added, but none of the bodywork can easily be added cheaply should you want the M-sport down the road. |

While owning the 328i, I always see M sports on the roads and think Damn I could've gotten that one and changing it down the road as some people already said it , it isnt cheap. I also feel like M sport line gives a more aggresive look for some people, and the luxury line gives more elegant look. depends on your preference. However, just go with your heart choices, so you do not have any regrets. I know it is a bad advice but thats just me
