For anyone still interested, I just ordered 2x 225/40/19 and 2x 255/35/19 MPS4S from Costco, fully fitted price. With the Michelin promo they are a bargain £543.57.

I did this swap approx 3 months ago. Sold my runflats for £400 and back then I paid £570 for MPS4S. Now they are even cheaper.

Stick to the official BMW sizes and you shouldn't. I've used 255/40 and 225/45 on 18's and 255/35 and 225/40 on 19's without issue.

I am currently looking around at non-runflats and I am struggling to find a decent set of tyres in 225/45 & 255/40 18" (non-xdrive).
BlackCircles have Michelin Pilot Sport 4 XL available in both sizes, which I assume aren't the PS4S, but they are the best that I can find at present.

If anyone has any alternative suggestions or have purchased these particular Michelin's in 18", then I would appreciate your feedback.

Did you also have to go for the XL tyre? After changing my X3 tyres to non-runflat, I am very keen in doing the same for the F32.

Yes, there was no non-XL version available.

I know this has been asked many times but......
I still have the original RFT.
My rears are getting low and will need replacing soonish!
I'm now in a dilemma! What do I do?
I recently had to replace a front, so one almost new RFT and the other has just under 5mm.
I like the security of the runflats, but also like the idea of better handling, road noise etc with NRFs!
Also have ACS springs, that Mr Lorcan tells me are developed with non RFT.
If I go PS4S what would be the best kit to carry in the event of a puncture?
Am I really going to notice a big real world, daily drive difference? Or should I stick with run flats for the puncture benefit? I usually drive on the comfort side with the occasional spirited drive.
Help me make up my mind, bearing in mind I won't be changing the fronts any time soon!

Non-runflats are more comfortable, no doubt. Anecdotally they also seem to suffer from fewer punctures. We carry an emergency inflator kit, Slime do a good one for £30ish. Never had to use one though.

AC Schnitzer recommend Continental SportContact 6 as well as Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. We've run demo cars with both and everyone preferred the Contis. If you're going to keep the car I would get the Contis and save up for AC Schnitzer sports dampers - that is a great combination.

Lol, I am deffo keeping the car for at least another couple of years! I can't help but love this car! I will be going down the ACS dampers route when I feel the adaptive dampers have given up! And you have another free fitting offer👍. Only 20k so far on the car. But already thinking somethings not right when you push on a bit.
Hence I wonder if tyres will make a difference!

PS: haven't looked at the sport contact 6. Do you have any experience with them?

AC Schnitzer's preferred partners are Michelin and Continental, they've been working together for many years and if you look online you'll see AC Schnitzer at events run by Continental and vice versa.

AC Schnitzer have checked compatibility of the Sport Contact 6 with xDrive and it's all good (in standard 19" sizes) and as I said above - back to back with two 335d F31s, both on 19" wheels, both with AC Schnitzer sports suspension, the Contis were preferred. Not a lot in it, but a noticeable difference on that particular combination.
