Adaptive headlights delay
Hi
While driving my 2012 BMW with adaptive headlights I noticed that the left part of high beams is turned off until no other vehicle coming from the opposite side of the road is visible. This is very annoying when I cruise on very long straights and other cars I drive behave differently. Is it possible to change this behaviour via coding? And is it possible to change latency when high beams are turned on again after another vehicle is passed? |

I don’t understand what you are trying to achieve?
The adaptive lights behavior is totally normal. The whole purpose of the adaptive/high beam lights is to not blind other drivers whilest having high beams on. |

I will describe full situation:
1. I am driving straight. there is no car in front of me. Then car "1" appears. Bmw notices it and adjusts high beams accordingly. 2. When car 1 is closer car 2 starts to be visible far away. 3. Car 1 now is really really close and the left light stops the high beam entirely. Everything is working excellently up to this point 4. After passing car 1, the second one is still far far away but the left high beam stays entirely off and it will stay off until there is no incoming traffic at all. I would like it to light up the left side of the road while leaving car 2 out of the beam, just like at the beginning with car1 |
