Was this with your 225/255 tyres?

Were they the original runflats from the 403s? What brand were they?

Any close ups of the 225 on the 9J rim to see the stretch?

Also, fwiw, there are forum members claiming they are running 275/35R19 and claim no rubbing, while others claim the ride is just too rough.
The first number is the front, the second number is the rear.
ie: 1% / 1.5% means the front wheel is 1% larger than stock and the rear wheels is 1.5% larger than stock. Ideally, both of these percentages would be the same 1% / 1% or 1.5% / 1.5% to guarantee the front and back are rotating at the same speed, but in reality, the CPU has to compensate for this as the front and rear tires wear differently over time.

As for 275/35R19, you are correct. Some members use this setup just fine with no rubbing, while others either find slight rubbing or don't like the ride and have been forced down to 265/35R19.

Thanks. I kinda assumed it was front and back, but because of your reference to speedo error of 1% and assuming speed is only calculated on 1 axle, was trying to make sure it wasn't something related to that.

Would a square set up with 255/35R19 on 19x9 437M work?

I have seen others run that same setup, so yes it will work, depends on the offset. Maybe ET35 all around?

I am kind of new to wheel fitment.

Stock 437M 19x9 wheels are ET29, so would ET35 mean I would need 6mm spacers all around?

There is a calculator at the top of this link that will show what the differences will be. You also need to take wheel width into account when playing with wheel offset. The offset is relative to the center of the wheel, so the same ET35 offset will provide different results on an 8" wheel vs a 10" wheel.

See diagram

You will not want to use any spacers with a 437m wheel on a 440 as the wheel already extends past the fender both front and back.

You may want to use a 5mm spacer on the front if you choose a replica wheel.

UPDATE 4-15-17:

One of my front tire is still leaking air. Shops cannot find what it is, they have tested everything, even the tpms sensor. They cannot figure it out. I think it's leaking because it is (stretched). BUT other one holds just fine, it's only one that is giving me issues. I want to purchase two new front tires. So, my question is can I run 235/35/19 with rears being 255/35/19? My car is an XI will there be an issue? I know with XIs its trickier.

Question is Can I run 235/35/19 fronts with 255/35/19 rears?

My current setup is 225/40/19 and 255/35/19

I want 235/35/19 and 255/35/19 if it's okay

Oguz - I'm doing a tremendous amount of research before purchasing wheels and this has been one of the best forum posts for it.
One of my OCD over-analysis traits catches the difference between the 437m OEM vs Replica look. The OEM is darker on the outside spokes and edges, while the replicas are lighter. I like the OEM darker look, but that cost difference is maybe a couple $$$thousand$$.
To answer your question as far as setup, I would try to go what BMW recommends for your car. But if you want to change it up, You should also consider the size of the wheel width and offset to determine your tire setup.

Also ditched the Runflats and although the diametre increase from 18'' (400M) to 19'' (437M) wheels, the ride is better.
225/40/19 - 255/35/19 tyres, M sport suspension lowered with ACS springs, no rubbing so far.

Just beautiful

for all you running these tires on your 437m wheels:
(front) 225/40R19; (rear) 255/35R19

HOW HAVE THEY DONE OVER AN EXTENDED TIME?

(I still have my 403M tires that are new and I want to keep them for my 437M wheels when those wider tires need replacing on my M2)

thanks!

Did they put the pumped up tire/rim combo into a tank of water and see where the bubbles were coming out from? I had this happen once and it turned out to be a very tiny pin hole in the actual rim, near where one of the spokes met the outer rim of the wheel. Mine would only leak at higher pressures (like 45+ pounds) or when it was cold out as the metal would contract a bit and open up the pin hole.

I personally dont think those specs are a good idea for that rim & you will have a hard time finding a place to put those tires on those rims.. unless you don't care about a guarantee i guess. Who knows, maybe the installers are different up your way.

Is anyone actually running those specs other than oguz?

finally got my pair of OEM 437M on with continental ECS tires on the 340xi. looks and feels great!

maybe a drop in the future but enjoying the travel and compliance and nibble handling for now.

stockers were:
225/40
255/35

with the 437Ms swapped tires to:
235/40
265/35
