DUDE, you have awesome taste.

You might wanna check out 7L & Esoteric while you're at it. And I guess it's worth mentioning this again, seeing as you have similar tastes, but check out Jedi Mind Tricks (specifically their Psycho-Social and Violent by Design albums) and the spinoff group Army of the Pharoahs (Ritual of Battle).

I kinda got sick of Kanye and Lupe.

haha thanks man. I used to listen to JMT in highschool, ill look at some of their newer material. ill definitely check out 7L and Esoteric

As for Kanye and Lupe, to me Kanye sounds refreshing compared to all the bullshit mainstream thats been around. Ever since his first album i feel as if he brought his own style into hip-hop and changed the game a bit. Not to mention he collabes with Talib, Mos Def, and Common on a lot of tracks.

I feel the same way about Lupe, i cant listen to a lot of his songs for a while because i just get bored of them after a while.

Yeah...apparently from reading the comments on the You Tube Video she's a porn star??!!

On another note, MF Doom is good but it takes a while (at least for me) to understand what he's saying (if anything?)

I Found this group off of Pandora and this song perfectly summed up how I felt on Saturday:

Song with Kweli

I dont think Nas really fell off...i mean he changed up his style a lot but hes still doin his thing i can never knock on him for that. i find that he always goes harder on tracks hes featured on rather than his own tracks.

D-block is solid still...Jada's holdin it down. i wasnt really feeling Sheeks latest album though

YEA NAS switched his style up and fell off. He wants to be political and race oriented now and I dont like that shit. Before 06 07 NAS had the illest albums around every track was fire every beat was fire. Then he wanted to get in this race bullshit and im sorry but he fell off mabey some dont agree and im all for switching things up a little but NAS fell off to me. You want real nas here it is.

When Nas WAS Nas

sorry but he dont put tracks dwn like this Anymore and its sad

Nas has ALWAYS been on some deeper level political and race stuff...from the beginning. Aside from Illmatic, all him other albums have had at least one song like this. I chalked it up to him being a teenager and being obsessed with money and cars. As people grow older they care less and less about materialistic things-unless you live in Cali

Maybe you never really listened to the albums but he's always been a community activist and political. I'm not trying to diss you or anything but maybe you just skipped over these songs??

But to your credit, he has been A LOT more political and community oriented than ever now....I personally think that's just because of Obama.

NO way I listened to every single Nas album from front to back and I understand what your saying. Its just never been so upfront always done in a different style. He just switched it up and I dont like the route he took. And im almost 100% sure Obama is the problem. Hey everyone has there opinions and anything Nas that comes out I am going to listen too, but the question is will I listen to it more then once? I still have that respect for him as long as he touches the mic but he has just been letting me down latly.
