"The Many-Faced God" Ownnij's f30 335i build thread

This build thread is probably way overdue but here we go..

(not my car but basically what i started with)

So on 08/2017 I was able to find a 2012 F30 Melbourne Red Sport Line 335i for a reallllllly good price. It did have some minor cosmetic issues with it but it’s OK because we’re going to have fun fixing that. This was the beginning of the many-faced god (It’s been through 4 different front bumpers)

Straight out of the dealership.. it went right into the body shop to get the base model bumpers removed for a M Sport face lift all around. This made a HUGE difference!!! But like all good things..They come to an end when someone did a hit and run while my car was parked.

I decided to change things up.. Let’s go with an M3 style front bumper this time. I felt like the m sport bumper was another common bumper and wanted something different and with a little more spice. I do have to say one thing though.. the M3 style bumper looked a little off.. I felt like without the hood, wider fenders.. it just look out of place and awkward. I ended up hitting a dip really hard and the impact literally blew up my bumper #RIP

So after being through 3 different bumpers. I had a decision to make.. where do i go from here.. obviously, I'm never going back to the base model bumper. I was pretty much a second away from purchasing another M3 bumper but then i discovered this G30 m5 bumper... MAN I WAS SOLD! I also did the M3 rear bumper with the quad muffler tips and just kept the m sport side skirts.. It's a hybrid of parts but i think it's perfect. The front end was aggressive but not too crazy but i do sometimes miss the m sport rear bumper.

This is how my car looks to current date 06/19/2019

I'm on full bolt ons and MHD Tuning Stage 2+ right now. I'll post up some more stuff later.

Subbed, looks really good! Glad we had that chat about the forged carbon on IG too, I should start a build thread myself.

Amazing build, can’t wait to see more!

I really like the gmr m5 bumper. Do they make a lip for this kit?

i think it lines up just fine. The Msport and m3 style bumpers have a indention in the middle so there's some more clearance but the M5/GMR bumper is the same height all around so you don't get that small room of clearance in the middle if that makes sense.

the only down fall of this bumper is there are no aftermarket lips available. You would need to go a custom route. It's alright though.. i don't really care for lips as i busted 3 lips on this car.

I’ll most likely won’t just because I daily this car but what’s up with the bmw community and widebody kits? I personally think they look so freaking cool with the whole package.

It's not the bmw community....it's everybody with taste. Widebody belongs on boy racer drifter type cars or idiot Porsche owners that butcher up their shit for rauh-welt lame ass wide body kits. They are tacky as fuck and the trend is almost dead.

The main thing is that most butcher up oem sheet metal to do that fuckery and that's just retarded. I think the bmw and P community just reject it for that.
