Just noticed...

No headlamp washers. Always had them. Bittersweet. It sucked when they got your car all wet after a wash but were helpful for the salt grime in the winter.

Also, I hate that the steering wheel volume controls are on my right. My e92 and e70 had them on the left which makes sense to me because it's a different hand altogether than the one you'd use to change the volume from the head unit (or my shifter hand) - in the US at least.

Did they get rid of the headlamp washers altogether? My 2014 bmw had them with the cold weather package which i see you have. Must be a stand a lone option now. Beautiful car btw, it makes me miss having a manual!

I believe that German law allows no headlight washers with LED lights.

Can anyone confirm?

Why do you need a MT to light up?

I don't, but my previous BMW MTs had shifters that lit up.

No, it wasn't even a standalone option for me. Not having them isn't a big deal but I'm noticing small things like this being left out.

No comfort access handles for the rear doors is another thing I've noticed I miss. I usually unlock my back door w comfort access to throw my work bag back there while unlocking the car.

Thanks!

I don't think the 3 series has ever had rear CA handles..

Odd that the US doesn't get the headlight washers, it's a $300 (CAD) stand alone option for Canadian 3 Series.

Regarding the Comfort Access, the 3/4 Series don't get it for the rear doors. 5 Series and up do, however.

Certainly in the UK there isn't a requirement for washers with LEDs. There is for Xenons though.

I'm guessing the rest of Europe is the same or similar.

Washers are still an option for the LEDs in the UK but pointless as the washer fluid can strip the wax on the front end of the car.

Not left out since 3s don't get it, but this is my biggest complaint about CA. You can adjust your habits, but it's annoying to say the least.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't pay that much for the headlamp washers.

I have the rear comfort access on my X5 which is why I miss it. My M3s were all coupes so I didn't know the comfort access wasn't available on the rear doors on the 3er.

The UK law doesn't state LED or Xenon, it's the light output that's key. More than 2000 lumens on dipped beam means you need washers. 4 series LED headlights clearly output more than 2000 lumens hence the washers, whereas F30 LCI LEDs must output less than that.

I dont even know how my headlamp washers work. Seems to pop out whenever they want to. Im just trying to clean my windshield and the headlamp washers will pop out and spray my entire hood that i just cleaned. They really shouldve added another button or skmething instead of having it work with the wondshield washer. Also the no comfort access on the back is annoying to me as well. All my cars pretty much have both front and back CA. was it really that much more money to put two in the back doors on a 50k car im just knit picking here but it still gets to me sometimes

Turn the headlights off when washing the windshield (if not at night of course).
The headlight washers work with headlights on.

Cheers

Stunning car, not a fan of the wheels though, stock ones looked better to me.

It's his winter setup, I believe he goes back to stock when it's over.

Awesome car! One small thing though it feels like BMW has gone backwards with the shift knobs. The perforated M shift knob in the e90 looks much more aggressive
