BMW LED Headlight

Hi all. Apologies for my ignorance to this I’m panicking. Moisture has gotten into a cracked headlight I have and I now have an error message and my daytime running/parking lights no longer work.

I’m looking on eBay for a the same used headlight ~£600. I don’t have the adaptive ones on my F30.

Will I need a code to install this new light? Was thinking of going to my uncles garage to install the light but not sure he will know what to do if coding is required. Looking to replace like for like.
Thanks guys.

FYI it’s a 2018 plate shadow edition F30 I have. If anyone could tell me the part number for this if they know it that would be magic.

If it's not a warranty item and you purchase a replacement. Then you shouldn't have to code the replacement

It’s not a bad seal I managed to crack it off a bollard haha

I've replaced one in the past with no coding required.

You will need to remove the module that is in your existing headlight and transfer it over to the replacement. Remove two screws and the module slots out.

Edit: I replaced the xenon version with one module, the LED headlight looks to have a few different modules that need swapping over.

Cheers. Will I need to do this even though I'm replacing like for like?

The moisture has damaged my DRL/parking light according to my car. Should not have left it so long.
