I have read on other forums that screen mirroring can be done with Esys has anyone been able to do it with bimmercode yet?

In BimmerCode expert mode, you can do anything you can with ESYS. Just find the values and change them.

I haven't used the expert mode as of yet because everything I wanted was readily available. That being said I did find some info on it but don't know if it will work but I will share it to see if anyone else knows what to do with it.

I tried with my F30 LCI (Japan imported) and can confirm you dont need to adjust WLAN_SIGNAL_STRENGTH set to: outdoor & WLAN_CHANNEL set to: channel_1 -14. I actually these changes gave me errors in the screen, worked perfectly when removed.

Have spent a fair bit of time trying to get screen mirroring working on a 2017 F30 330i. Its a NBT EVO id5 version.

I do not see "screen mirroring" appear at all anywhere.

These are the settings I have applied.

Made the following changes:-

3000ENT_MC_WLAN_STREAM_DMP_VIDEO set to: aktiv
3000ENT_MC_WLAN_STREAM_DMP set to: aktiv

3003WLAN_SIGNAL_STRENGTH set to: outdoor

I finally gave up trying with Bimmercode as all the above changes did not work on my 2017 F30 330i. I decided to purchase "screen mirroring" from a 3rd party and it came via email and I placed it on a USB stick and it worked perfectly. I immediately wanted to know what changes had been made that made it work so I trued reading the Headunit via Bimmercode but now Bimmercode "cant read Headunit" ecu. All other ECU's seem fine. Unhappy with this I did a restore of the headunit via Bimmercode and it restore OK BUT I still cannot read the ecu via Bimmercode. Why??? I restore with the very first backup. Anyhone know how I can fix ecu so Bimmercode can read it again?

I read on another thread (don't have the link handy) that a certificate was changed when the USB enabled screen mirroring in the headunit and Bimmercode no longer recognizes it. Copy your Bimmercode backups to your computer and reset the app and it should be able to connect again.

I got it to work without the outdoor/channel part like dushanrules said.
I also enabled the options on https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...03&postcount=2
I think one of these were not on mine, so I skipped it.

Sorry to resurect old post i bought f34 UK 2016 done all setting but for some reason Vehicle WiFi tick box is not selectable for some reason. Any idea why?

Ok i guess no one knows much about it. My guess i might not have wifi antenna installed, ill check install it if it needs to be and see what happens.

After enabling Screen Mirroring on my F36 realised that my Motorola Android phone does not support Miracast since Google dropped it in 2016 or thereabouts. Tried with a Samsung tablet and it all works as expected, but it's only slightly more than half of the iDrive screen. So, the lesson is, this Screen Mirroring only works if your device supports Miracast standard and does not work if it supports Chromecast!

Hi guys,
I activated with expert mode, mirroring, video in motion, wlan, miracast in headunit 3000, 3001, 3002 and 3003 groups.
I see now on my iDrive7 menu "screen mirroring"
I see in iDrive7 display says : Miracast connect your mobile with bmw59864, I open on my Samsung "screen view" it founds screen mirroring bmw59864, but I can't get last request on iDrive7 to connect with question "would you like to connect yes/no".
So everything works good until last step when I have to connect Samsung mobile with Miracast screen mirroring in iDrive7 to make screen mirroring connected.

Does anyone of you had similar issue?

It works perfect with my old BMW car and iDrive6, but with iDrive7, probably I forgot to activate some parameter with bimmercode and don't know which one in Headunit option
