Lol I had the forge bov kit but didn't realize it was only for ewg yeah you can make it work for pwg in a way but didnt want to since I already had the GFB dv installed, its pretty easy to install though you don't need to remove the turbo at all just right tools and patience lol.

Any reason you went with a BOV instead of an upgraded DV? I'm assuming the performance side isn't a big desire over the BOV noise?

I just wanted to go another route tbh. I don't really know if there is a performance difference. Seems like there is more work to do as far as install.

That's pretty much the only difference: performance. Can't remember if you partook in the DV+ discussion, but the GFB engineer discussed it there as well. With the DV+, it's going to try it's best to safely retain 2-3PSI, which ultimately allows you to reach your peak quicker. With the BOV, you're just venting all of it. I will say they do sound cool though... lol

I don’t know if it’s a big difference in performance. Big power guys all vent to atmosphere. What it will do though, is it will likely cause a rich condition between shifts since that was metered air and it’s being vented. Generally going from a recirc style valve to a vent to atmosphere valve, you would need a custom tune to run right.

Oh yeah, it's not a huge difference, but it is noticeable. Imagine how strong that spring would be to hold 50+ lol.

Everytime I think of guys with large amounts of boost, I think of that (Supra?) video of the guy on the dyno and when he lifts off, the boost blows all the cards off the front.

Originally E30, but currently off E until I get a custom tune done by HCP. From there, we'll either do E30 or E40. Whatever we can do that is the safest to get to 350whp.

So is this just a noise maker for Blowoff from turbo with no real power gains?

That's what BOVs are. DV for performance, BOV for aesthetics.
