320d/328d 0-62 time
Hi guys,
Was interested to see how others have managed to improve the 320d/328d performance in acceleration. I know it is not the most relevant statistics, but had fun comparing times, as I did 2 remaps without any other drivetrain modifications. I have MPerf steering wheel with LCD screen where I can measure 0-100 km/h. Probably not most exact measurement, but should be consistent. My experience: Stock 184hp, MPSS tires -7,4 sec Remap to 197hp, MPS4 tires -6.54 sec Remap to 224hp, MPS4 tires -6.27 sec I think with better traction from the line I could get closer to 6 sec flat, as my best attempt still was not perfect. Would be interested to hear from others. |

This is kind of cool, when comparing same car to itself, for improvements, and for fun.
The US 328d uses different part number injectors to the 320d (unsure of specification differences) and a very different turbo. US uses Garrett GTB1752vz vs. Euro 320d uses a Mitsubishi turbo. I wonder how much a difference it makes.

teaston said the 320d should be able to make high 6's at least. I will let you know my experience soon. I am having my 320d mapped next week. |
